At Oak Tree Mobility, we understand the importance of being able to enjoy the home you love with confidence and in comfort. We also know that as you get older, using the stairs can become a real challenge.
A stairlift is the perfect way to remain independent in your home. However, you may have been led to believe that a stairlift is not the right solution for you. Perhaps another stairlift company has told you that your stairs are too narrow or your home is too old? Are you left facing the realisation that your only option is to move house?
Here at Oak Tree Mobility, we have already installed hundreds of stairlifts in the homes of customers with many different types of staircase, including those that are very narrow. Our years of experience and research – and our incredible products – put us in the ultimate position to meet our customers needs. We provide customised stairlifts so you can stay in your beloved house and move up and down the stairs safely.
Stairlifts are specially designed to carry people up and down the stairs. Each stairlift usually consists of two sections: a chair or seat and a rail that is fixed to an existing staircase. As modern stairlifts are powered by electricity, they can be operated with ease. Furthermore, all stairlifts supplied by Oak Tree Mobility have saftety features to make sure the stairlifts can be manually overridden. They also come with a battery back up in case of power failure.
Stairlifts are available in two different styles. Straight stairlifts are generally more economical and simpler to install than their curved counterparts, though they can only be fitted on straight flights of stairs. A curved stairlift is necessary where flights of stairs change direction. Therefore, Oak Tree Mobility are able to custom-design these to fit your house and overcome the problem of having staircases with landings or curves. This used to be impossible on complex sets of stairs, but due to the modern technology we now use, we can accomplish installations on nearly all types of staircase.
Stairlifts are actually more affordable than you might think, especially when you consider the difference they make for those who may not be as mobile as they once were. And when you take into account the fact that installing a stairlift can prevent a costly relocation to a bungalow or similarly accessible premises, having a stairlift fitted can offer exceptional value.
To Oak Tree Mobility,
Stay independent in the home you love with Oak Tree Mobility Stairlifts!
I will be 82 years of age soon. My name is Mr Y. Kumar. I have been suffering acute pain in both knees since I had both knee joints replaced. I also suffer breathlessness since I had a stroke three years ago. I was struggling to climb the stairs to go to the bathroom upstairs. I am pleased that we didn’t move into a bungalow which would have been very costly and feel blessed that I decided to have an Oak Tree Mobility stairlift installed.
It’s absolutely brilliant. I don’t know why I didn’t think and get one before. I am so happy and independent in my home I love most. Thank you and God bless Oak Tree Mobility.Y. Kumar
