We have three motor options available to you in our rise and recline chairs. All these different motors deliver a different benefit for you. Read each carefully and choose the one that is right for you.
Unique High Leg Lift Motor
This is our most popular motor. It can benefit you if you suffer from swelling in your legs or you have been advised by a qualified doctor that your ankles need to be raised higher than your hips.
- This motor raises your ankles 6” higher than your hips. This aids your circulation by helping the blood in your feet move its way back to the heart.
- This chair creates a Unique High Leg Lift. Unlike other rise and recline chairs, our Unique High Leg Lift positions you in the exact position your body needs to be in to relax and circulate your blood around your body.
- This chair is super comfy, You could easily fall asleep un this chair in a healthy position for your body.
- It has a single motor. This means it positions you in the exact position your body should be in.
- It prevents your pressure points from doing all the work. The High Leg Lift supports the points on your body that don’t normally get enough support, like the hips, lumbar region, neck and knees.
- A controller can be installed on either side of the chair. So, whether you’re left or right handed you can have ultimate control in perfect comfort.
- The chair needs 12” behind it to be able to fully recline. This is because it tilts in its own space.
- The back reclines as the leg rest elevates. This ensures your body angle is maintained at 90° relative to the legs and back
- It tilts up allowing you to get out of the chair. When the seat is in the tilt position it slowly transfers your weight to your knees allowing you to walk away with ease.
Duel Motor
The Dual Motor Riser Recliner Chair has two motors powering the chair. This means you can operate the chair back and footrest separately.
- Two motors allow the legs to raise and the back to recline separately. This is so you can adjust the chair to the exact position you want to be in.
- It has a four-button controller. With easy-to-understand diagrams on the controller, you can recline with ease.
- The controller can be installed either side of the recline armchair meaning, whether you’re right or left handed, you can have the ease of control.
- With this chair, your ankles rise in line with your hips, for a relaxing seating position that also supports your joints.
- It has a side pocket. In this, you can store the chair controller, your magazines the TV remote, your favourite book or anything you need near your chair.
- It has a flatter recline if this is what you prefer.
- The chair fully tilts you out of the seat so you can walk away without having to strain your knees or back getting out of the chair.
Wallhugger Motor
The Wallhugger motor is ideal for homes with limited space. This mobility chair can be positioned right up to the wall and recline without the wall being in the way.
- You can leave up to a 6” gap between the electric riser recliner chair and the wall, freeing up space in your living room.
- The motor does this by pushing the chair away from the wall as it reclines.
- The single motor raises the legs first then reclines the back.
- This chair does not raise the ankles above the hips as the Unique High Leg Lift chair does.
- The controller can be installed either side of the chair meaning, whether you’re right or left handed, you can have the ease of control.
- It has a side pocket. In this, you can store the chair controller, your magazines the TV remote, your favourite book or anything you need near your chair.
- This chair is only available in Classic and Grande size.
- This chair also tilts you forward giving you that extra helping had to get out of your chair.
With all our motors, when the chair is raised up it lifts the front two castors off the floor. This stops the chair from rolling away when you are trying to step away from it.
In conclusion…
The Unique High Leg Lift is more comfortable and supportive, it is also the best if you have long term medical problems such as bad circulation. The Duel Motor chair gives you more flexibility to be in the position that you want to recline in. Finally, the Wallhugger chair is ideal if you have limited space in your living room.

Where are back up batteries in easy riser chair, how often do I need to replace them to prevent leakage?
Hi Shirley,
Our liberty pack back-up system is run on two 9 volt batteries and you should change them every 12 months in case the chair gets stuck in the recliner position. If you want more information, please give us a call and we’ll be able to help you out.
